Woodwork
Many of Dad’s Students still have their WOOD CREATIONS.
I’m gathering PHOTOS of all these CREATIONS. (please send me yours!)
THEY ARE AMAZING! TAKE A LOOK:
###
Virginia Bachrach
“My much beloved table and stool.”
###
Bill Weber Class of ’53
Fourth Grade Project “Stool”
###
Ruth says:
“The Truck is made from a cheese box. I confess that I liked painting them at least as much as the woodwork, but I do remember enjoying being able to actually attach wheels.”
Made in First Grade. Kermit added later.
###
Steve Pike Bowl.
Steve says:
“Good perspective on the not totally round bowl.”
Steve says:
“Note the chisel marks from going a bit too deep”
Steve says:
“Notice the flat edge, from sawing from the block of wood and not being able to sand it round.”
Steve goes on to say:
“I wish we were able to better execute to Wolfie’s instruction and skill. But not bad for elementary school and no power tools. And it is something that I just love and have carried around for 55 years.”

I once made a chair in shop. I wish I still had it.

Alright, I’ll come straight to the point. This is so cool. I loved shop. Wish I had Wolfie as a teacher.
